Reading List 9.28.2011

On my bookshelf this week:

The Manicurist by Phyllis Schieber

Tessa and Walter have, by all appearances, the perfect marriage. And they seem to be ideal parents for their somewhat rebellious teenage daughter, Regina. Without warning, however, their comfortable lives are thrown into turmoil when a disturbing customer comes into the salon where Tessa works as a manicurist. Suddenly, Tessa’s world is turned upside down as revelations come to light about the mother she thought had abandoned her in childhood and the second sight that she so guardedly seeks to keep from others.

The Written by Ben Galley

His name is Farden. They whisper that he’s dangerous. Dangerous is only the half of it.Something has gone missing from the libraries of Arfell. Something very old, and something very powerful. Five scholars are now dead, a country is once again on the brink of war, and the magick council is running out of time and options. Entangled in a web of lies and politics and dragged halfway across icy Emaneska and back, Farden must unearth a secret even he doesn’t want to know, a secret that will shake the foundations of his world. Dragons, drugs, magick, death, and the deepest of betrayals await. Breathtakingly vast, chillingly dark, brooding and dangerous, The Written will leave you impatiently waiting for the next adventure…

Welcome to Emaneska.

Throwaway by Heather Huffman

Jessie Jones is living the life–except for the fact that she earns it by working the streets. She’s been under pimp Spence’s thumb for fourteen years, and she isn’t looking to change it. That is, until undercover cop Gabe walks into her life and offers her something she’s never had before: a love, a future, a home. But even if Jessie could walk away from Spence, there are darker forces of evil who want her to stay put, or worse, dead. In this romantic suspense, author Heather Huffman delivers an adventure from the vibrant streets of St. Louis to the caves of the Ozarks as Jessie discovers whether she can love another, whether she can love herself, and whether any of it is enough.

My ebooks on Kindle

I recently wrote 2 little eBooks that have been published on Amazon Kindle . . .

Only Dead Fish Go With The Flow: creating a kickass life doing wicked good epic shit the badass trailblazer way is a short eBook about living a life of integrity with self-confidence. In it, I discuss in depth my 10 Rules for Being a Badass Trailblazer. My hope is that it will give people, especially women, the right attitude to follow their dreams, love themselves and learn to live their lives to the fullest. The book is just $3.99 on Amazon Kindle.

And the 2nd book I published on Kindle just a few days ago is an excerpt of the forthcoming book Everlasting called It’s All In Your Head. This little gem is about the Law of Attraction and how your thoughts and actions today become manifest in your life tomorrow. It’s main goal is to help you become aware that everything in your life is created by you, that you control the outcome and that you can have, be and do anything in life you desire. It’s just .99¢ on Kindle.

If you buy one or both of them and enjoy them, please consider leaving a review on Amazon. I would greatly appreciate it.

Until next time . . . write on!

Wishing you success + love + fire in your belly.

A new chapter

Well, well, well! You’re still here?! ;-)

Seriously, though – I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with this blog and I was considering closing it down but I think now that I’ve started writing more again, I’ll keep it and revive it. So, I have a few posts already setup for the next week. Nothing major – just a couple about my current projects and the 2 little eBooks I recently published on Amazon Kindle.

Keep an eye out for those and I’ll see you again soon!
