For the past few years, I’ve come up with a single word to describe my overall goals and direction for the year. During 2009, it has been ACTION. And my single-minded goal was to simply take action on anything and everything I felt compelled to.

While I can’t say I did everything on my goal list, I must say that I got A LOT more done this way than any other method I’ve ever tried. I think that’s because taking ACTION is just so darn simple. There really isn’t anything else to do with it! You either take the action or you don’t. There is no in-between. Not much room for error.

And so I’m doing it again for 2010.

This time, my ThemeWord is going to be CREATE. I think it’s right along the same lines as ACTION – it doesn’t really allow much wiggle room. You either create or you don’t. It’s that simple. No shades of gray.

Kinda like Yoda said “Do or do not, there is no try.”
